Jessica MillerSoprano Jessica Miller, Mezzo-Soprano, is excited to be joining the Deutsche Oper, Berlin this fall in her first European engagement. There she will be singing Flora in Verdi’s "La Traviata", The Third Lady in Mozart’s "Magic Flute", Krista in Janecek’s "Makropulos Case" and Mary in Wagner’s "The Flying Dutchman" among other parts.

Jessica’s last exotic engagement was the Tokyo premier of Opera Theater of St. Louis’ "The Tale of Gengi" by Minoru Miki. She created the role of Gengi’s estranged wife Aoi to enthusiastic audiences in Tokyo and in the world premier during her third season with Opera Theater of St. Louis.

As a resident artist with Opera Company of Brooklyn in 2001, Jessica performed the role of Amahl’s Mother in Menotti’s "Amahl and the Night Visitors". She is happy to be working with OCB again in this production of "Rigoletto".

Jessica received her musical training at Northwestern University, BM, and the Manhattan school of Music, MM. She is a thankful student of the superb Ashley Putnam.
