 Rachel
Olivia Tucker was the first place winner in the 1999 regional
Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions and a national semi-finalist.
Last summer, she traveled to Italy to study with coaches at
La Fenice in Venice and at the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program
in Toscana. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University
of Arkansas and a Master of Music degree from the University
of North Texas, where she sang two seasons with the Dallas
Opera Ensemble. Her roles include Susanna in the "Marriage
of Figaro," Adele in "Die Fledermaus," Gretel
in "Hansel & Gretel," and Lucy in "The
Telephone." She is a recent recipient of the American
Berlin Opera Foundation Scholarship for a year-long study
at Deutsche Oper Berlin. |
