Mark
Tevis obtained a B.M. from The Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins
University and is currently working on a M.M. at the Mannes School of
Music under Dan Marek. He has performed as an apprentice artist with the
Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, and Chautauqua Opera and as a principal
artist with the New York City Opera. Awards include prizes from the George
London Foundation, Florida Grand Opera Competition, Annapolis Opera Competition,
The Stewart Awards, a study grant from the Santa Fe Opera, and full scholarship
to attend the Mannes School of Music. Upcoming engagements include singing
the role of John Adams in Glimmerglass Opera's 1998 production of "The
Mother of Us All." |
